Primary/Junior schools in Bath

Hello,

I'm after info on primary and junior schools in central Bath. I have 3 children who are primary/junior aged and we are not church-goers. My questions are: of the church schools in Bath do you need to have christened children and regularly attend the local church? And of the non church schools which ones are any good? Particularly Newbridge, Southdown, Twerton - any local info on these schools would be great. Finally, there's seems to be lots of separate infants and junior schools - in some cases the local junior school nearest the primary is a church school - how does that all work?

I'd appreciate anyone who has the lo-down to help me navigate this.

It depends. I imagine church-going would be useful if you were trying to get into the oversubscribed schools, but wouldn't make much difference at the others. Almost all of the primaries in Bath are church schools, iirc.

All the primaries in Bath are OK imo so I wouldn't be overly concerned.

You absolutely need to look at the BANES website - the admissions booklets contain information about how many children were admitted under each criterion.
