How long are your easter holidays?

Just wondering how many days are your dc off for Easter holidays.

4weeks. 1 April to 3 May

My DS broke up on 1st April and goes back on Thursday 28th (for one day), then back properly on 3rd May.

Just seems really odd. I hear some people have yet to break up and other seem to be off all month.

Glasgow schools stopped on 1 April, went back yesterday, stop again on Thursday for the Easter weekend, go back in next Tuesday, stop again on Thursday for the Royal Wedding/May Bank Holiday, back in to school the following Wednesday, 4 May (Inset day on the 3rd for the schools in South West Glasgow).

8 whole days of school in April

In fact, some areas only get 7 days, as their Inset day is before the May Bank Holiday.

The Scottish exams start on 3 May

.......Presumably, the schools are opened for those kids that are sitting the exams scheduled for 3 May!

Mine - the bank holidays. DS broke up on late March and went back yesterday, DD broke up last Wednesday and goes back on the 27th. The joys of childcare - the DC had two days off at the same time!!!

We finished on the 7th (had an inset day on the Friday) and go back on the 26th for three days and then off for the long weekend of the royal wedding.

The ones with a month long or 3 week holiday will be independent schools which always have longer holidays.

2 weeks and 2 days ..broke up on the 15th April ,back on the 4th May

Today is the last day of school here in Italy. They are going back on Wednesday. So not long holidays. BUt then we have 3 months during the summer...

Also 1 april to 3 may.

Broke up 15th April return 3rd May

We are almost the same as roadkill, except our INSET day is at the end of the holiday instead of the beginning. A lot of our neighbouring counties broke up on the 15th, and go back May 4th.

Its just 1 week for us although DS does get the bank holidays as well.

ours just went back this week after 2 weeks holiday (4th April till 15th April). They were in 4 days this week and now have a long weekend for Easter and go back on Tuesday - they are in tues, wed and thurs and then off for another long weekend due to the royal wedding and the may day holiday on the 2nd. They are in tues and wed and then off for an inservice day/election day (school being used as a polling station) on thursday before going back in on friday. Its just as well I dont work as it must be a nightmare arranging childcare!!

...private primary: 3 weeks 2 days
