swapping schools

how do you go about swapping my child s schools and do you have to give notice of any kind to the school my child is currently in ?

Ring the LEA to find out what schools have vacancies, and ask for a form to move schools.

Make an appt to look round the school you want to move to.

Discuss it with the new school and fill in the form.

The new school will ask if you have discussed your problems with your current HT, and may ring your current HT if you decide to move.

You don't have to give any kind of notice. You can take your kid out of school tomorrow.

You can also HE while you find the right school.
