Surestart centres to close

Surestart was only ever intended to be a short term funded project. The idea was that after the initial set up period where they were government funded the centres would have funds withdrawn and they would seek alternative finance.

Most have done so and other charities (Spurgeons, bernados, NCH etc) have taken over the running of the centres and groups etc.
