LETTS KS1 Exam paper

I just picked these up for Maths and English. The English seems fine, but the Maths, seemed aimed at much older children. They are in year 2. I am in a good primary school but these papers don't seem to reflect the work that they have been set for homework.

Has anyone else had a look at them. All thoughts welcome.

Hi, we did them with DS last year (when in yr2) and they seemed about right?

Did you look at the level 2 or level 3 papers? The level 3 papers are harder and my son, for example, won't have covered all that's on them at this point in Y2.

Are you aware there is no KS1 exam any more? It's all done on teacher assessment?

They sit a SATs paper - but the result of it does not really influence the grade they are given.....

Agree with PP - we've specifically been told NOT to tell or prepare our children for KS1 SATS papers. Also that their "end of KS1 level" depends mostly on teacher assessment - the papers are only used to support this.

Based on DS's school only the more able children are doing work for Level 3 maths - so a lot of them won't have covered the topics on the Level 3 paper.
