...like we nearly did last year.

We moved into the catchment (rental) of the desired school so were all but certain of getting a place. We applied from the rental, then bought (again, in catchment before anyone suspects dubious practice!). But I forgot to tell the LEA we'd moved.

Got an email saying DS was in, great. 9 days later, at 7 am, I was idly wondering where the official letter was, so I checked the email again and saw that it said offers had to be accepted by March 12th, I think it was. Then... the penny dropped.

DH leapt out of bed and drove around to our old renter, where, miraculously the new tenant had the letter, sitting on his hall cupboard (he had our forwarding address but would have 'got around' to passing it on, naturally having no idea how time-sensitive it was!). I drove the reply to Winchester to make sure they got it on time.

Bloody hell.

Sent mine First Class Yesterday.
Daft that we cannot do THAT bit by email too isn't it!

So different authorities would appear to have different systems? Ours says we need to do nothing if we accept the place offered. There is no "acceptance form".
