Junior school when to apply

Am just wondering when you have to apply for junior school ds is in year 1 now and in speec h unit with statement but if the Lea gets their way he may end up in Ms so i need to look at junior schools but when the daTE TO APPLY FROM

You need to look on your LEA website. Does your area have separate infant and junior schools? Or are they all through or a mixture? If movement for year 3 is normal then there will be a set application date. If not will you be being treated as an in-year move?
I would contact your local parent partnership for more advice.

If he still has a statement then he gets priority. I really would talk to your local parent partnership, who should be able to advise you more. (Even if the statement is taken away, you may be able to use it as grounds for appeal.)

If you have a statement naming the school you don't need to apply. Your son will be admitted to the school named in the statement automatically. However, if they remove your son's statement you will have to apply this autumn. The dates will appear on your LA's website well before you have to apply.
