New to the mumsnet board but hope you can help. Got 4 children (ds 9, ds2 and ds3 twins 8 and dd 7) all in school but am going to take them out after half term.

Primary school awful & relationship with teachers/head completely broken down (very long story!!), no real alternative schools in area either state or private.

We are in grammar school system so kids need to pass 11+ so need a good academic education at home until then so they pass the exam.

Have heard of a company called Primary Home Education UK (www.primaryhomeeducation.co.uk) and have heard from a few families using it who really like and rate it but wondered if anyone at mumsnet had heard of it/used it etc.

Thanks in advance.
Desperate Rachie!!!

Hi rachie,
I also have four kids (7,5,3 and 8 months) and am planning to pull out the older two from school at the end of this term.
I havne't had a look at primaryhomeeducation yet but I have joined EO and I'm certain if you posted there someone might be able to help you. It's a really useful resource.
I don't know how far you have gone along this road or what resources you have come across, but feel free to CAT me if you would like to swap ideas.
I'm both scared and enthused in equal measure, but it's a very big step.
All the best.

OOh spidermama i remember reading the other thread where you said you wasnt sure if you were going to take them out, good for you.

I took DS out earlier this year for 2 months due to him being bullied,he went back eventually-his decision but i really enjoyed it and felt that i had my boy back

Let us know how you go on

Just to say that i think you should ring primary home ed uk and talk to them, you will get a feeling as to whether or not they are for you. they are really approachable and will be honest with you. Maybe they could put you in touch with families they have worked with?
