Dyslexia

We have just accepted an application from a dyslexic child for our out of school theatre classes. I just wondered if any mumsnetters who have a dyslexic child could tell me what we need to be aware of and what teaching/learning methods are effective.

The things I can think of that may be relevant are reading song wordsheets, learning lines and co-ordination on dance routines.

Dont give too many instructions at once - dyslexics find it hard to follow a string of instructions. My son is dylexic but is a wonderful mimic - if only I could get him to go to drama club!
