Anyone with recent experience of the school prepared to give an idea of strengths and weaknesses? Am considering OHS for DD, bright and hard-working but no genius. Have read some iffy refs to lack of pastoral care and unsupportive atmosphere - how true is it?

Refreshing this thread now it appears that Dr Hills has resigned (or been asked to leave). Seems rather sudden, at least so sudden that GDST are having to parachute in one of their heads from another school. I worry about the identify crisis the school seems to be going through at the moment. With a daughter currently in the junior school I'm certainly looking at other options for seniors.

OHS has just turned in its best A level results for several years, with 77% A*-A. That’s just one dimension of a school and is of course subject to yearly cohort variation, but It doesn’t support the notion that there is any crisis in the school’s academic focus.
