Dd has been asked to made a working model of a skeletal joint for H/W. To be fair the teacher has given dd two weeks to do it.

It is a flipping work of art and science rolled into one. Cartiledge on the articulation surfaces, tendons, a cur away to show the bone marrow and blood vessels (red for arteries and blue for veins). And if I....sorry dd doesn't get three merits for this I/.....sorry dd will sulk!

The worst crime in the world, the over competetive mummy!

jeez.

wasn't like that in my day. Are you gonna make it out of papier mache? Or playdoh?

Flaming hell! And if you're feeling like this, imagine how the non-science-teacher parents are feeling

(incidentally, I gather my friend grew up about a mile from you!)

Two toilet rolls, two 'vanish tops' (the pink ones, these are stuck together with masking tape which is painted over with white paint. The bone marrow is that plastic poppy stuff colored red. A red and blue straw for the blood vessels. Plastic for the cartildge, and big thick elastic bands for the tendons.

I am Valerie Singleton and I claim my Blue peter badge!!!!!
