Good University - Bad University

Where can one find out whether a particular university is viewed as a good university or a poor one by the industry one wants to go into?

thekidsmom, yes, I believe that is also true about who was at the meeting. Bit of a bummer for those that didn't make it as the status has done it's job and brought in a lot of money, not to mention prestige.

I can just imagine the poor man from Durham whose job it was to go to London that day but didn't bother as he figured he wouldn't miss much!

eatyourveg I've just checked and mine is the 2003 edition too, so I guess there isn't a more recent one. We picked it up in a charity shop along with the 2010 guide to universities, so I assumed it was more recent.

Durham is in the 1994 Group though. Also v prestigious I hear. Sometimes called the "Oxbridge of the North" apparently.
