Good State Primary Schools in Berkshire?

Hi

We are planning a relocation from Tunbridge Wells to either Berkshire or Buckinghamshire due to my husband's new job.

Other than the fact my husband would need to get to Paddington for work, we have no idea where to start in terms of areas - however we would like to move to an area within catchment for a very good state primary school.

Any suggestions of excellent primary schools worth considering??

Many thanks

Nicola

Whitchurch on Thames primary (that feeds into outstanding secondary) is apparently uber-fabulous and Ofsted Outstanding. It's 5min walk across Berks border (South Oxfordshire).
It takes 40 min to get to Paddington (from Pangbourne station that's about 5min walk away from Whitchurch).

Caversham Primary is always top of the Reading/Berks League tables - but has the strictest of catchments. Caversham is an expensive town though.

If you fancy village life then Englefield Primary is supposed to be lovely.

The Newbury and Thatcham area (53 mins fast train to Paddington) has many excellent state primary schools and there is flux between the catchments, however, a senior level catchments are alot tighter particularly Thatcham.
