dd school is RC but rumours are that diocese to "close" parish does this mean the school will go too - not sure whether to try to move her now or"wait and see" and be in a scramble with other kids to find school -help?

Is the school maintaining numbers easily or is it very small with only a few classes? Also, is there another RC school within a reasonable travelling distance that has spaces or could be expanded?

If the school is thriving or there is no alternative RC school it is more than likely that the school willstay. On the other hand, if the school isstruggling and there are spaces in alternative schools there is a chance that it could close. The diocese would have to consult with the LEa too, as if therE WOULD have to be sufficient spaces in other LEA maintained schools and the LEA would also have to bear the brunt of parents claiming travel costs if the alternative faith school was more than 3 miles away.

I'd try contacting the diocesan board of education and don't rush into anything as IME rumours like this circulate all the time.
