I quote...

"Dear Parents
We are starting a library scheme at the nursery, where children will be able to choose a book to take home and return the following week. You will be asked to sign the book when your child takes it away to say you take full responsibility for the book and if damaged or lost you will be asked to replace it or pay for another one. If you bring back the book late a charge of 50p will be given per week till returned.
This is to encourage the children's Language and Literacy skill's and is also a good way to teach the children to look after and be responsible for things that don't belong to them."

I kid you not!
DP is threatening to amend it and hand it back saying he is setting up literacy classes for nursery staff...

Hee, hee......abs awful. Pet hate of mine....misuse of the apostrophe. DD's preschool teacher uses both upper and lower case letters when writing her name and it really riles me...how are kids meant to learn!!

saw a similar one in our library! same erroneous apostrophe. i complained to the librarian.
