Help! Which senior school do I select?

Do I choose the sprawling big noisy tatty one with the good results, or the smaller quieter orderly one with poorer results?
The quiet one has had an improvement in results this year from last year so it may attract more able students in the following years possibly? DS wants a small school with good results (he's good at maths!). What should I do?

go for the school which seems like the best environment for your child. sounds like the small one? Rsults at Small schools will tend to fluctuate a lot, anyway.

results can be very deceptive, especially in smaller schools.

At senior school level, personally I would go for the smaller one. Results fluctuate, individual attention is everything. Time spent fighting for attention can be time better spent learning.
