Hello
my daughter will start primary in september.
We need to enroll by January.
As we want to move into a bigger house what will happen if we move before she starts school?
Will her place be withdrawn?
Please help as I'm really confused and dont want to make mistakes :(

You need to check with your local authority but it is likely that they will treat you as a late application if you move after submitting your application in January but before places are offered, which means you go to the bottom of the pile and will have little chance of getting into any popular schools. Some LAs insist that you continue to live at the address stated on your application until your child has started at school, otherwise you will lose your place. I have doubts as to whether they can actually do this under the Admissions Code but if your LA is one of them and you want to avoid a battle, you need to stay put until your daughter has actually started school. Once she is at the school you are definitely safe.

If you look at your council's website they should have all of this information in their admissions booklet. If not, give them a call and ask.

ONce you have been offered and accepted a place , not sure they can take it off you, how would they know.
No priority given when you handed in application as long as it is before deadline.
