DD1's first day at Nursery - without me................................boo hoo

My DD1 is starting Nursery this Friday all on her own from 12.35 - 3.05. We have been going for an hour a day for the last week and she loves it - saying that I am a little nervous about her going and leaving her for the first time. She keeps saying 'she'll be fine' but I am so so worried !!! Did anyone else have feelings about leaving your first on their first day ????
I have explained that Mummy needs to leave her there as I have lots of shopping to do and work (which I do from home anyway) so she is aware I will be busy but my heart is wrenching to leave her this Friday ................. advice please ladies

She will be fine and so will you. Once you are in that routine you will wonder why you were so worried. Of course you will miss her, but she probably won't miss you for such a short amount of time and she will be so busy playing with her new friends. The best feeling of th day is when she will run out of nursery to you telling you exitedly about all the fun she has had!!!!

Me too with dd, I agree with fickle and RTKM you will miss dd but you will be fine

What makes you happy/excited?
just think how excited you'd be if you got dropped off by your best friend to an all day shopping mall to shop all day with new friends, or to an all day spa or something - that's what she'll be like - toys and cuddles and loads of attention - just what babies love!!

Ds has been going for 3 weeks now and on day one, he was fine but i cried uncontrollably.
It broke my heart and i never thought that i would stop, i walked home up the road with his empty pram with tears streaming down my face.
I clutched my phone to me for the whole 2.5 hours he was away from me.
Its ok now though.
Its good because i make lists of things to do to keep me occupied and get stuck in. (my kitchen is gleaming!) this takes my mind off it, you can probably tell im still traumatised by it, im filling up now while typing

A friend of mine was telling how on her dd's first day at play school, she actually scaled a wall to check her dd wasnt upset after she left her.
She scaled the wall peeped over it through a window then fell scraping and scratching her arms and legs! LOL!
DD was absolutely fine.

Thanks ladies - let's hope she will be OK. I think I will be the worst out of us two !!! The trouble is at the moment she says she will be fine but when the day comes - will she ???........ we will see.............
