DD will be sitting an exam for an indie school in the coming months in Maths, English and Reasoning. Can anyone tell me what the Reasoning paper is likely to consist of? Thanks.

This test is available on the website of an academic independent school. (Scroll down for the reasoning tests - verbal/non verbal.)

verbal or non verbal reasoning - find out which one and you can buy the bond assessment practise papers at any bookshop. good luck with the exam!

Buy a pack of Bond Assessment Tests to familiarlise your DD with these tests.

Reasoning is what we used to call 'comprehension'. The Bond papers are good.

There is "verbal" and "non-verbal" reasoning.

It's basically common sense, working out what comes next in a sequence, decoding numbers and letters into sensible words and phrases etc.

The Bond books are brilliant and Smiths / Waterstones / most book stores have them.
