A 50 hour week is standard in teachers in my school. And that's not including work done at home.

The reception teachers at DD's school have a strange way of showing this (if it is the case)!

They do seem pretty obvious ...

Fair enough...except my DD's teacher barely maes eye contact and NEVR smiles...I always smil and say thank you to her....I know she's busy...but no smile? Not necassary. It makes them seem unaproachable.
