What would you do if another pupil(a girl)spat in your daughters face for no reason and thought it waS FUNNY but got caught and was told to say sorry , (yr 3 and a new school for us) and it was left to our daughter to tell us even though i saw the teacher she didnt feel the need to say anything?

Thanks

um would have thought the school had dealt with it

It happened at the end of the day and they said there wasnt time and they would deal with it in the morning, but i have heard all this from my daughter despite her being upset when she came out of school and me asking what was wrong when she was standing next to her teacher !! nothing was said to me , i think its disgusting behaviour but am i over reacting ,i am soooo mad .

It is disgusting but it sounds like the school will deal with it.

I would have expected the school to deal with it- which they have, by the sounds of it- but not to tell me about if.

It's not that they're trying to keep it silent, but simply that a child in Yr 3 is plenty old enough to tell her parents herself about incidents in the day. The only thing I would expect to be informed about was head injuries as they can result in sudden deterioration that I would need to know about. But when my dcs were 7 years old it was up to them if they wanted me to know about anything that had upset them during the day or not. Ds at that age was always coming home with bruises and scratches: up to him, if he wanted me to know how they had happened or not.

all sorted and got to the bottom of, apparently it was a raspberry blown in the face along with spit !!!!now i feel very silly why do our children do this to us :-(
