that is because you have one child and about 4 things that need nametaping, CD my dear.
I have two big plastic crates of the stuff, including shin pads, garters (?!), boiler suits, 10,000 socks and tights, and all the other games stuff which needs nametaping inside AND out.

It is out of control.

they are a lovely electric blue and they put them on in breaks to go and built forts in the woods without getting their uniform dirtyunderneath.
it's a swallows and amazons existence here in the cuntry

CountessDracula · 30/08/2005 17:33

PPH I can see that you didn't fully analyse the implications of having so many children if you couldn't see that the nametape issue was going to be a problem

princesspeahead · 30/08/2005 17:34

its not a problem CD, as I said, the staff do it...

and child 4 is not getting a single item of new uniform and can make do with the nametapes of the 3rd. In fact I might give them the same name just to make life easier in that department...

you can get personalised ones from the ACE catalogue if you really want. although theyve peed me off so i wouldnt recommend them unless you are only buying that one thing. i will never shop with them at christmas again put it that way.

CountessDracula · 30/08/2005 17:51

Or reverse the letters for a rather exotic sounding name

what about just calling them HB or 4B, then buying the appropriate pencils? or Bic for pens?

PeachyClair · 30/08/2005 18:30

I've been driven nuts over the past few days as dd's new prep school insists that all her clothes not only have name tapes everywhere (outside for all games kit) but loops as well

These are to hang everything up with and can be made out of elastic or tape.

Even each sock has to have a (homemade) b**dy loop on it.

Its taken me days, she went back to school yesterday and I'm still doing it for repeat items.

Also, why do they have to have 3 pairs of trainers?? As dd's feet grew a whole size since last term it has cost me a fortune

Gosh Jura, thank goodness we only have to sew name tags on the outside, I couldn't do embroidery!

Maybe you could just put your child's initial and surname?
