I've just seen that my Buy it Now price of £75 has been taken off my item for sale (a climbing frame), by eBay. Apparently this happens as soon as you get a bid, which I rec/d 3 days ago, for 99p. Someone has just asked if I have a Buy it Now price. Is there any way I can reinstate my £75 B.I.N., or accept an offer at this price in another way?

Thanks for any tips. I am very irritated as I've possibly lost weekend browsers who may have snapped it up. Aagh! Help!

As soon as someone bids, your bin disappears. Id email them back saying yep, buy it now is £75.
Get them to paypal the money, (just tell them your paypal address in your email) then just cancel the auction. Ebay dont need to know its been sold, so you wont lose £7.50 fees

sixlostmonkeys · 20/06/2010 19:43

you can cancel the bid and relist it with just a BIN

monkeyfacegrace · 20/06/2010 19:44

but that will cost about £10 six.
But of course, your way is the legit way

x post.
monkeyfacegrace's way may be best if it works, as the way I said would involve lots of fees

Presumably it's collection only, so tell them it's £75 would they like to come and view it? They then bid to be the highest bidder, you end the auction early and they give you £75 CASH

monkeyfacegrace · 20/06/2010 19:49

Nonono cargirl, they view it, pay cash, and forget ebay!

iloverhubarbcrumble · 20/06/2010 19:49

ok thanks all! I've gone the CarGirl way (goody two shoes me).

Next time (you probably know by now!) you set your starting price nearer the price you want and invite BIN. I didnt know ebay did that tbh. why
