Top tips for selling big items on ebay (mainly baby stuff)?

Looking for some words of wisdom from those with more experience of ebay than me. So far I've only sold low value items - baby clothes, DVDs, mainly.

I want to sell 3 pushchairs, a travel cot, and a high chair, amongst other things, and maximise the amount I get for them.

Is there a good time of year to sell these things? Should a sale end on a particular day of the week or in the evening to get lots of bidders?

Is it best to offer a courier service or just have the buyer collect?

Hi I have sold lots of pushchairs.
I tend to follow the ending on a sunday evening rule for best results.
I always offer a courier and pushchairs definitely go for more if you do. You can get quotes by entering the dimensions of the box into a courier site. I use www.parcel2go.com. Most can go for around £10 and under. If the pushchair is worth/sells for more than £50 make sure you increase the cover.
Pushchairs sell well at most times of the year apart from just before and after Christmas and New Year. Footmuff are more seasonal but can increase your selling price if included in a package.
Take lots of pics and describe any faults in detail. You can cover quite a lot by saying 'some scratches due to normal use'
Wash the covers. It's horrifying surprising how many people don't. then you can say 'all washed and ready to go'
I am thinking of selling a highchair soon and would probably just do that on collection only as it would be awkward to package.
good luck
