i have put a van on ebay for a friend and i cant find anywhere where it says he will have to pay when/if it sells. it already cost £11 to place the van on there and dont want to end up having to pay a fortune in final value fees. the van is on there for £13,800 to give you an idea if any one can be of any help?

eBay Motors: See eBay Motors fees. eBay doesn't charge a Final Value Fee for motor vehicles. Instead, eBay charges a Successful Listing Fee when you receive your first bid on an item or your reserve price is met. If your vehicle listing ends with no bids or the reserve isn't met, you won't be charged the Successful Listing Fee. There's no additional fee charged after the vehicle sells.

Final Selling Price

Final Value Fee

£0.01 - £1,999.99

£20.00

£2,000.00 - £3,499.99

1%

£3,500.00 and above

£35.00

I found it was better to list as a classified ad with a best offer facility because then you aren't charged a final valuation fee, you are charged a fixed amount £14.99 i think.

Plus you get to haggle

oh crap just realised you've already listed it - see if you can pull it off and relist, i think you've done it the expensive way....
