Posted this on here on friday. Sold the pushchair 3 weeks ago and buyer ignored my e-mails, then phoned 3 weeks later saying they were going to collect. Any way they collected the pushchair and now 3 days later i have a e-mail saying the bumper bar is missing from the pushchair. I have searched everywhere for it and thinking about it now i'm sure it was atatched to the buggy (why would i have taken it off?). I took the pictures for e-bay and then put the pushchair in my conservatory until it was picked up, i did not remove the bumper bar.

Are they trying it on?

I'm worried as i have 100% feedback and i don't want to loose it.

What do i tell them?

Call their bluff. Tell them it must have fallen off in the van as it was attched when they picked it up. If it genuinely wasn't they will make more fuss but they should stop it at this point if they are trying it on!

addictedtothefirsttrimester · 12/04/2010 14:48

i agree just say it was checked over before they picked it up and it was attached.

Marne · 12/04/2010 14:59

I asked them to check the van because i was sure it was with the pushchair, they wrote back and said no, its not in the van (they wrote back so quick that i can't see they had time to look). What do i do now?

Shall i just tell them to bring it back for a refund? or shall i just risk a bad feedback? they payed cash so they cant get their money through paypal.

blimey what a pain, yes tell them to bring it back for full refund. (that's what i'd do) easier than getting into hassle with them. if they still neg you not alot you can do.

Marne · 12/04/2010 15:12

ok, i have e-mailed them saying 'i was sure that the bumper bar was atached to the buggy as i did not take it off, i also checked the buggy before it was picked up, if you are not happy with the item then please return it for a refund' do you think thats ok?

This is such a pain as i have no where to put the bloody thing, i think i will have to stick it on freecycle (if it comes back).

Surely they should have checked it when they picked it up? (they just chucked it in the back of the van and went).

addictedtothefirsttrimester · 12/04/2010 15:22

they should have checked it when they picked it up, and as they've bought so many you would think they would know that by now.

you've been more than reasonable by offering the refund, personally i would have put a date on it eg contact me within the week. just in case they leave it 3 more weeks before contacting you for a refund.

btw negative feedback isnt the be all and end all, you have an opportunity to add a comment to their feedback.

so if they were to say - item was missing bumper bar, very poor communication

you can then respond (which every one will see) with - full refund offered but turned down, repeated attempts to call and e-mail but buyer did not respond

hth

maxybrown · 12/04/2010 17:14

I think you have been extremely reasonable!

I agree with above poster.

Do not contact them again unless you hear from them.

I would just risk the negative myself!

Marne · 12/04/2010 19:55

Now she's getting angry with me , she's saying she can't return it as she payed more than the prams worth for a corrier.

The people that picked it up just chucked it in the van which is where the bumper bar probibly fell off.

I have asked her what she expects me to do?

I think i'm just going to have to risk bad feedback , which is a pain because i am selling 2 other pushchairs and this will put people off.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 12/04/2010 20:04

risk it. what on earth does she expect you to do? Drive over to her? Did she arrange for someone to get it for her? If so that's her look out! What pushchair is it anyway? Can't she get one cheaply? Just wondered if it was worth you sending her a partial refnd through paypal?

To be honest 1 negative wouldn't put me off. I would perhaps over confirm in your current ads what exactly is with the pushchair and make sure they are happy when/if collecting.

This is one of the many downsides of ebay unfortunately isn't it?

addictedtothefirsttrimester · 12/04/2010 20:10

just risk it, i think she may be trying it on to get money out of you

1 negitive coment wouldnt put me off either.

maxybrown · 12/04/2010 20:40

sorry just realised I asked a million questions there

maxybrown · 12/04/2010 20:41

oh and another thing, one thing that does put me off on ebay is not the actual negative, but how the seller responds 9if at all) to that negative - that says much more about them than the actual negative!

southeastastra · 12/04/2010 20:44

i think she's trying to get money off you too. what is her fb like?

120 · 12/04/2010 20:44

put a link to this thread in your feedback!

southeastastra · 12/04/2010 20:45

do you fancy putting the item number here so we can look?

Marne · 13/04/2010 08:10

item number is 190380973218, they have 100% feedback but have only bought (pushchairs) so as a buyer they cant get neg feedback, one person has said 'slow' on their feedback but other than that the feedback is good, when they bought the pushchair they only had 1 feedback, now they have 17.

OP posts:
addictedtothefirsttrimester · 13/04/2010 08:37

you have over 2000 positive comments, 1 negative comment wont hurt you!

wonka · 13/04/2010 08:58

Contact ebay support my friend done this and when her buyer left a neg ebay deleted it..
You have been very honest in your description and she booked the courier her problem! I wouldn't be put off by one neg either

maxybrown · 13/04/2010 09:02

Ah, yes, after seeing what pushchair it is, I can imagine it COULD have come off when slung in a van. Or she is just lying. Don't contact her again. Besides your feedback is SO good that it will seem very odd if she does leave a negative. besides you could always try and ask for it to be removed.

mel2005 · 13/04/2010 11:04

i bet they were after a partial refund, they got it at a great price stick to your guns, they are probably trying it on. if the courier did lose it its her fault not yours.

Marne · 13/04/2010 12:39

Thanks, so far i have had no response from the e-mail i sent last night, hopefully they will give up.

OP posts:
southeastastra · 13/04/2010 12:49

can we not see the buyer details anymore?

Marne · 13/04/2010 13:00

I'm not sure why you can't southeastastra.

OP posts:
southeastastra · 13/04/2010 13:02

it says 'sold for' but doesn't give the buyers name only the price. unless i'm missing it!
