I sold an item to a new ebayer (0stars) last week and after receiving instant payment, printed a postage label through paypal using the address she had registered on her account and posted the item.
2 days later I received a message from her worrying that I might not have her address and that it was was ...... which looked familiar to me so I replied to say not to worry, I had already posted the item.
But today she has messaged me again to say the item has not arrived. I re checked the original address against the one in her message and discovered that although near identical, same street name, postcode etc, the address registered to her account had a different number to the one she messaged me with.....

So what should I do, this is clearly a mistake on her part, but I am not sure if it is worth risking my feedback if I don't offer her a refund.

Any advice????

well you have done nothing wrong if she has registered under wrong address then thats not your problem get her to check with neighbour or post office but how are you at fault its her mistake you can only post to registered address which you had done and thats all you can do

You could advise your buyer that you sent the item to her registered eBay address, and give her details of that address. It may be that the buyer can visit the other address to see whether her parcel arrived there.

Regarding dodgy feedback, I am sure that eBay would remove any left for you as you can prove the non delivery was entirely the fault of the buyer.
