Just had an e-mail.

Now I wish I had held off listing some things last Sunday as I could have listed them in two categories for nothing.....

Forgot to say - no listing fee charged to private sellers valid for auction format listings only. More details here.

I'm hoping to sell some of my own stuff this weekend - clothes etc (never ventured into selling clothes before!)
Could someone help me (I do need help ) I have a little brown cardi thingy. It's one of those with no buttons and the front is made up of two rounded sides. It's short and erm..... any idea what it's called?
(I have no idea when it comes to clothes )

PurpleFrog · 19/03/2010 13:53

sixlostmonkeys - sounds like a bolero - or shrug ? (But I know very little about clothes, either )

thanks - I'll search ebay with those words and see if there are others similar.
better than searching for little cardi thingy with roundy bits

oh, and other one
you know those things you hold your hair up with? Like two claw comb thingies on a spring and you squeeze it and then clasp it on your hair...... what are they called?

These free listing days/weekends are coming along very regularly at the moment. We have had around one per month. I wonder if the pattern is going to continue? A few weeks ago I went through the archived eBay messages online to see where they popped up last year, and there didn't seem to be very many of them. There were other offers like cheaper final value fees if you offered free postage etc., but very few straightforward zero listing fees.

I had been thinking about creating a stock of photos and descriptions so I was ready to go the next time one appeared, but of course I am unprepared again!

Do you use turbo lister? You can prepare them all in there and then wait for the free listing day.

I think there has been more than the usual amount of free days recently due to the mess ebay made of it all when they intoduced free p&p. They need to get the figures back up for the shareholders

PurpleFrog · 19/03/2010 14:10

No - I don't use turbo lister - I have a Mac. I looked into this a while ago and there didn't seem to be any free ones available for Mac users. I usually use Word to create my listings then cut and paste into the eBay tool.
