Another non-paying buyer - how to remove item?

Hi, sorry, another ebay newbie question.

I sold a maternity top 3 days ago, no payment or contact from buyer yet (I sent invoice after 2 days). Had requested payment within 3 days in the listing but see from other current thread, that this might be unenforceable and I have to leave 7 days?
My question is, after 7 days, can I just cancel the item rather than relist if there's still been no contact? It didn't attract many watchers so may not even sell, I might as well take to local nearly new mat shop (but obviously don't want to take it and then for her to suddenly pay). I don't really want/can't be bothered to take out a payment dispute - it only sold for £1.04 and buyer has 100% FB, she may even have had sad news re: pregnancy and not need the top anymore.

If I press 'delete' on the item in 'my ebay' does this stop her being able to pay for it at a later date? Do I just email her and say it's now been removed as no payment received? Can she still leave bad FB about me if I do this?

Thanks very much in advance.

It's only been 3 days, you should give them more time then this IIRC.

Oh I will, happy to give them a week, just don't want to relist after that if still no payment, want to know if I can remove altogether without going through a non-payment dispute? Thanks.

If you don't go through a non paying bidder dispute then you won't get your listing fees and final value fees back, so you'll be out of pocket.

Wait a week, do a non pay dispute to get your fees back. You aren't forced to re-list it is up to you if you re-list or not. It doesn't do it automatically.

Okay, thanks very much everybody.
