I am currently selling my sons Thomas the tank engine bike. It is a small toddler bike with the pedals attached to the front wheel, rather than the frame. Today I have had a very snotty message from the only bidder, saying I am mis selling the item as it is in fact a trike and not a bike and that if she wins the item, which is looking likely, she will not pay and report me to Ebay.
The item is not a trike, it has 2 wheels and removable stabalisers and the fact that the pedals are attached to the front wheel is totally obvious from the picture. Argos are also selling an identical item, albeit a Peppa pig one as a 'bike'. I have 100% feedback and her accusations have upset me, what can I do?

Having looked at completed auctions she bid too high and that was her real issue don't think I'll get outbid somehow!

thisisyesterday · 16/11/2009 22:27

i'm gonna have to sit and watch this now, to make sure evilbidder doesn't get it! lol

bamboo · 16/11/2009 22:27

Agree CarGirl, she got a bit carried away with her initial bid and is just trying to wriggle out of it.

liahgen · 16/11/2009 22:29

cargirl I don't think you are still highest unless you are bidder 2

CarGirl · 16/11/2009 22:30

I'm going to bed soon so will have to sort it out tomorrow!

pinkmagic1 · 16/11/2009 22:30

In the 'report a problem' bit you can report a bidder/buyer for threatening feedback extortion.

I had to do this recently. You report without forwarding the email then if they do the dirty you follow up your complaint with the email, they get a warning or even chucked off ebay. simples!

In my case I just told the nice buyer that I had reported them for feedback extortion and I never heard from her again ha ha.

Yes you've guessed it Sparklygothcat it was that blardy macalaren I was selling!! Its still in the bathroom lol.

liahgen · 16/11/2009 22:32

hate it when people try and make out it's your fault. She could have said, I'm really sorry, i bid by mistake and could we cancel please.

SparklyGothKat · 16/11/2009 22:34

FJ, you still have it!!?? lol!

Flibbertyjibbet · 16/11/2009 22:40

Yes I totally lost the will to ebay it.
That seller is still there tho with her two accounts one for buying up all the ones that say 'local pickup only' and then selling them on at big profit.

I only hope that with the current Maclaren finger slicing stories in the news, the bottom will have dropped out of her market lol.

I am just going to ask around in a bit I am sure someone will want it locally for a reasonable price. I only ebay things that will fit in a jiffy bag and low value these days in case anything goes wrong!!
