Hi, I have been trying to pay for something using paypal and have been getting the above message for two days. Any ideas of what it means and how I can get round it? Thanks

Really??? Are you going to the Paypal site directly to login rather than through a link on an e-mail? or is this via Ebay purchasing process?

I am doing this as I always pay, which is click pay now and just before you get to the log in page for paypal this message comes up. The lady I am buying from says that another person buying from her is having the same problem.

this has happened to me as a seller before. I had 4 items ending one night and people usually pay quite quickly and I had heard nothing from any of them then 2 buyers contacted me to say that they were having problems logging into their paypal accounts. Might be to do with the bank holiday weekend and a lot of people at home on ebay/paypal.
Just keep trying and I would contact the seller to let them know that you are trying to pay but encountering problems.
