"Claim your funds"

Hi,

Just sold some stuff (not for the first time) and in the payment status thing it says "claim your funds". I've never had this before - anyone know what I need to do?

I had to change my paypal account to update my bank account since I got married, and maybe that's why, but the account is linked to my eBay account, so I thought it was all normal...

make sure your email address is correct. paypal payments go to the email address, so if you changed it in paypal and not on ebay then it's gone to the wrong one

Thanks. I'll check which email address I'm using.

The email addresses are both the same, it's still saying the same message, and I've had a message from one of the buyers asking what's going on.

HELP!

Is there nothing in your paypal account to click on to accept the payment?

The one reason that might have caused this is if you have a non-premier account and the buyer has paid with credit card rather than funded paypal. You pay fees on the payment for credit card payments - actually when you have a premier account you pay on all received payments. Normal accounts can receive funded (non-credit card) payments without charge.

If that's the case, you should be prompted to upgrade your paypal account to allow the payment. Is your account verified?

I think I had this once when an American buyer had paid by an e-cheque wotsit....
Search for claim-your-funds on paypal website and see what it comes up with?

Is the payment showing up in your paypal account with a message? I had one last week where it said claim funds but was nowhere in my paypal account. I went back to the item and clicked relist so that I could check the listing properly (I didn't actually relist it) when I scrolled down to the paypal options I had actually mis typed my paypal address! I emailed the buyer, asked them to cancel payment and sent a money request for the correct address.
