Asking for a refund ... but what about p&P ?

I've just bought something which I am not really happy about and the seller has offered me a refund but not the original P&P (which was £3)

Obviously I need to pay for return postage (trackable) but is this right ? should I get a refund in full ?

yes, you should get a full refund. If they refuse then open a dispute and paypal will do it for them. Send it back trackable tho
