How does a buyer mark an item as 'paid' if they've collected? CAN a seller do it?

Got a slightly distressed message from a buyer who bought a climbing frame from us personally, cash in hand, saying 'Ebay says Item still to be paid for!!' (he paid on collection). MY response would be "Ignore, it matters not!." However, the other 2 items which were also collected separately have 'buyer marked this item as payment sent' where I get the egg timer sign in My Ebay's 'Items I've sold'. How/where do I tell my buyer he can make his purchase 'buyer marked as payment sent'? I don't think it matters but he's a bit worried, presumably that it'll affect his ebay rating or whatever!

I think there's an option for you to mark it as paid then it will show on your buyer's page as paid aswell.

Those markers are only for information to teh user - to remind them to pay. Tell them that is really isn't a problem.

Alternatively if he goes to "my ebay" I think if he clicks on teh drop down menu against the item (far right - there is a little triangle) he can select "mark as payment sent"
