When putting up an item for sale - how do I create paragraphs and increase font in the description column??

I seem to be able to start a new sentence in a paragraph but when it comes up on preview or the actual thing, all my sentences are lumbered in together.

I can't seem to find the option to allow me to write the description neatly or to change font size.

Help anyone?

Thanks!!

PS - as you can see, I am very fond of paragraphs!!!!

There should be a toolbar at the top of the item description page. Are you seeling is Basic or Advanced format? That might be why... And are you on a Mac? If so that might be it, I can't get any formatting whatsoever when I use my dad's mac to list stuff for him, on my PC its fine.....??

greenday · 09/02/2009 20:18

Ahhh, that's explains .. yes, I am on mac. Thank you for pointing that out. I used to own a PC and it was fine then but I thought that perhaps ebay took that option out when they changed their format and stuff.

So is that the end of the road for me? No choice but to endure 1 paragraph full of goobledigook?

I couldn't make it do it and I like my ebay listings to have paragraphs, I tried for ages! Maybe email them, although they were entirely unhelpful when I did, if enough Mac users ask they might change it...?
Or maybe HTML would work? You could try it... stands for paragraph... in case you didn't know, although I know that so may have tried it already.
Talking of goobledigook, see above!!

Does turbolister work on a mac? I use it (admittedly on a PC) but it makes formatting etc easier.

Oh my Oh my .. pamplemousse ... your goobledigook is words of wisdom!!! It worked!! It worked!!!

I got paragraphs from !!!!

Thank you!!!

Oh yay firstly that you understood what the heck I was on about and secondly that it worked!!!
Hmm here's a few more - you can find loads on a google search I reckon, but these are the ones in my head...
To centre text type then write what you want centered then when you are finished type

To change font size type ? being a number between 1 and 7, 1 is smallest then at the end.
To bold something text blah blah then
HTH

That is grand .. thank you for the tips!! I honestly wouldn't have thought of looking it up on google ... but now that you've mentioned it, the possibilities are endless ... I'm off to fiddle with google and ebay!!!

Thanks so much again!!
