Because people want it. It's a supply/demand thing I'm afraid

Oh I know - we've bid on stuff because we naively thought it would be cheaper on ebay and it's gone for more than in the shops. And then there's postage on top

I know that feeling!!

I'm desperately trying to get my hands on a knitted Sack Boy from Little Big Planet but no way I can afford £30

cheeseandsproutssarnie · 09/12/2008 14:40

I know its so weird! £50 worth of M&S vouchers went for £49.49 with £1.50 p&p, i mean how does that make sense??

I've just sold a book - second hand, reasonable but used condition for a stupid amount of money - I'd been honest about it's condition, hadnt said it was new or anything like that. I was embarrassed to post it - it was heavy so the p and p charges were high as well. I only expected to get 99p for it - the buyer might as well have gone down to WH smiths and bought the book in pristine condition and would have paid roughly the same amount of money.

I suppose it made up for all the lovely designer clothes that I've sold only because I'm now too fat for them and that some lucky bitch slim ebay buyer has got for peanuts.

i noticed that with stuff from ikea and i found on the ebay discussion that some ppl dont want to make a trip to there local store that may be 25 miles away when they could get the item delivered to the door for around the same price....but littlewoods>>oh unless the item is sold out then the second hand stuff will go for double(happened a while back on ebay when a designer look alike from primark of all places went for a ridiculous ammount(sold out in the shops in the first week)

J20 it could be that person has a voucher from Ebay.....I had a voucher from them for £20 off once so bought £40 vouchers for £38.96 but I only actually paid £18.96
