think my best ebay sale was an old Girl Guide Album probably picked up for about 10p at a Jumble sale when I was younger, sold it a year or 2 back for £31.50 (and it wasn't even in good condition!)

i bought a mamas and papas giraffe from car boot for 20p sold for £28!!!
also 2 rolls of mamas and papas 'quack range' borders for 50p sold for £32!! apparently they are discontinued, so hence the high selling price.
i thought i would get £4.99 for them, which is what i started my auction at!
the giraffe i started at £2.50.. so i made quite a hefty profit.
marvelous.

A Thomas the tank play table, with engines track, cranky the crane, etc - bought for £10 at a car boot sale. Sold the table alone for £80, kept some of the engines for ds1, gave away the cranky as ffp on mumsnet as minor damage, sold the track as a bundle, and the engines which were duplicates of the ones we already had. Total over £140!

And some Thomas the Tank Engine wooden trucks which were apparently very rare and typically sold on Ebay for £50+ at the time. Spotted a whole load of them in a local shop which had evidently rediscovered them at the back of a store room, and bought 9 of them for £8 each. Kept one for ds1, and sold the rest for over £400!
