been fleeced, what can i do?

I have been ripped off good and propper.I bought a wii about 6 weeks ago but did not get it. 2 weeks ago after many ignored emails i got a response. Seller apologised and said he would refund,he did not say why he didnt send it,still waiting.I opened dispute but he has ignored it.I paid by cheque, what can i do?

I dont think he has a business, ebay gave me his phone number but it was false he lives in forfar close in darlington if anyone knows that area.Gathering all evidence to take to the police at the mo. the other people he ripped off are doing the same too.

If his phone number was false are you sure his address is correct?

It is really good that you are all going to the police, that way they will have more reason to go after him than if it was just one lost cheque IYSWIM.

I really hope you get this sorted out. It makes me so cross to hear of people being ripped off, especially this close to Christmas. What on earth makes him think his need for money overides yours?

the address is correct because she sent him a cheque - which he cashed!

And she told me today that the police told the other person this guy has ripped off that they won't do anything for fraud under £500!

That's bloody outragious!

Does it come to over £500 if it is put together? I wonder if they combined and complained together they may get somewhere?
