Bit of a strange one - WWYD?

I sold a pram liner sheep skin on ebay back in September - £25. A few days after the auction finished I hadnt received payment so I emailed the buyer - she responded saying she was having problems with her paypal account, and that she would pay bythe begining of the following week or could send PO. I replied saying next week would be fine. Anyways, next week came and went, sent her a few more emails but didnt hear anything back - including one saying that I was going to report her to ebay.

I opened a dispute, a few days later she paid, although she didnt reply to any of my emails.

Postie has just been this morning, delivered the sheepskin back to me - with a sticker to say that it hasnt been called for.

WWYD? I know I should probably email her and ask her if she wants it sending to another address but part of me thinks that after all the hassle I cant really be bothered - she is obviuosly isnt that bothered about it otherwise she would have emailed me to ask where it is. Am temepted to stick it back on ebay Is that bad?

is simply email her saying that its been returned to you etc and state that if you dont hear from her within 7 days of email that youll be refunding money and relisting it.

I think you should refund her - she has paid and now doesn't have the liner.

I have checked address is verified by paypal.

She obviously didnt want it in the first place which is why she didnt pay - then ignored my emails hoping I would just leave it. She paid after 2 weeks - once paypal got involved. Perhaps she is thinking if she left it at the post office then it would be returned to me and then I would give her moneyback - problem solved? If she was expecting it to come and actually wanted it you would think she would have emailed me to find out where it was.... it was posted a month ago...

but whether shes messed you around or not you have to refund her or resend the liner.you cant keep the money(somebody elses money) and relist it or keep it.

refund her, minus the postage costs, for your trouble.

just imagine, something terrible might have happened.

So she bids on something she doesnt want, doesnt pay - eventually pays, then refuses to pick it up so I have to give her money back? Surely then there is no point in paypak getting involved in non=-paying disputes as everyone could do this?

I'm not syaing you are wrong btw - just that the sytem sucks.

I'm really going off ebay - last month sold a speaker system - guy emails me to say that it was his brother that bid and that he has a rake of questions to ask (even though he has already won), I amswer them , send him the kit - he emails me 3 days later to say that its completly smashed - that it obviously hasnt happened in transit and I must have done it... He sent me pictures - it looked like he had taked a claw hammer to the speakers... he threated me with the police, which I said was fine, as I had pictures of the speakers in the box that were time and date stamped... funnily enough I never heard back from him.

Meant to add that looking at her feedback she has been buying and selling stuff as rcently as last week... so she isnt lying dead in her flat being eaten by rats or anything.

email hr saying you have it and if she wants it then it's £3 (or whatever) for postage & you'll send it to her again.

I couldn't collect some things that I had bought from ebay after I unexpectedly went into hospital for over 3 months! So she might have a legit reason.

Don't refund though.

either ask her to send you the postage so that you can post it to her again or message her and tell her you shall be refunding her and then you can relist it.

I've had this happen to me twice & it's sooooo frustrating!!

I never heard back from either buyer.

One of the ones I tried to refund got bounced back to me as the email address no longer exsisted so I tried contacting buyer again still nothing.

will email ies and ask her to paypal me money to post to her again and see if she gets back to me.

Its like booking a holiday, deciding you cant be bothered, not turning up at the airport the expecting thomas cook to refund you.

I would probably do nothing, although I would hold onto the sheepskin for a few months to give her the chance to contact me and say she hadn't received it. If she did I would ask her pay for postage to have it re-sent.

I definitely WOULDN'T refund her.

dont refund her, if she contacts you or opens dispute then communicate as it clearly is her problem not yours.

Where it is a baby item, it makes me worry that something went wrong

Emailed her on Tuesday to ask for £3 for it to be re-posted.

Had a quick check of her feedback - she has bought lots of 6-9 month clothes and other bits of the last month with reasonable feedback
