Do your items sell for more as Buy It Nows rather than auctions?

I have some children's coats to sell and am wondering to do them as auction or Buy It Now. They're nothing spectacular, the sort of things I'd imagine to sell for the 99p start price. But I'm wondering whether to do a Buy It Now for an extra pound or two - personally I'd rather pay an extra pound for a Buy It Now item than what I'd pay for the same item as an auction, so that I didn't have to wait and check on bidding etc., and I could get the item sooner. I wonder if that's just me or whether most buyers would feel the same?

I sell far more with buy it now than I do bidding. I think its because the buyer knows they'll get the item that much quicker rather than having to wait for the listing to end - especially if you're selling clothing...and coats in particular cos most people would want them now with the current weather we've got. Its worth paying that extra bit to list something with buy it now. I've even had people email me to ask me to change listings to buy it now.

We don't sell that much, but whenever we do, we always do a BIN option, which we normally would include P&P in as well, so if the item ended on a BIN that is the price they pay for everything. That way you get to advertise it as free P&P which buyers love.

We sell 95% of our stuff on a BIN like this.

I pretty much always sell on BIN as I find things sell much better, for better prices & quicker too!!

I don't sell that much but usually do an auction with a BIN option. That way, interested buyers have to decide quickly if they want it NOW at the BIN price or if they want to start bidding and try to get it cheaper than BIN. Items with bids often attract more interest than those without, and a number of times I have ended up with a final price greater than my original BIN.
