Been totally ripped off!! My amazing e3 i've bought off ebay is not that. It is absolutely filthy i can't work out how to get the covers off to clean the damn thing. I am so upset and mad. I've paid cash and collected the blooming thing haven't a clue where I stand. Theres no way I would put luka in this. I feel sick, I keep my pushchairs so clean and this isn't. I don't know what to do. She is a new seller i've noticed that she bought a brand new phil and teds on her feedback, so I suspect she's bought this and is now selling on as she was also dissappointed.

Heres the listing...she said it had fading which is fair enough, but to describe as near perfect, it certainly isn't!!

i hadnt realised it was just 2 sales sorry

nicolamumof3 · 24/08/2008 16:46

Its the description 'near perfect' and saying the fabrics are 'immaculate' that I object to. Plus the fading is really uneven some parts it is grey and some parts it is a purply colour. to say its faded 'slightly' I feel is misleading. It has faded unevenly would be more accurate listing. and no reply from her!! Im so annoyed as I shouldn't have felt intimidated, I should have taken it out in the daylight to look at it thoroughly. Hubby has now called and left a message. If she was confident in its saleabiliy then she would be happy to email me offer to take it back and offer it to the 2nd bidder who only bid a pound less than me. Anyway im probably boring you all. I have just learnt a hard lesson instead, i won't buy from ebay which is a shame as I have had some lovely things there but I would be nervous paying foranything expensive

To be fair - you collected it, so had ample chance to inspect it and make your own mind up, whatever the listing said. Unfortunate, but if you didn't have a proper look at it before handing over the cash you'll just have to swallow it.

FlightAttendent · 24/08/2008 16:53

Yes I totally agree with you Nicola - she definitely ought to refund you, and I think it's a pretty inconsistent description tbh - like you say if she is so sure it's worth that much, she should take it back and resell it.

I really hope you get a result, and no, definitely not boring - I like a bit of ebay detective work!

Off to goofbay her...

FlightAttendent · 24/08/2008 16:56

I bought a pushchair locally, also described as immaculate - I never trust that word any more! I even got them to deliver it, well we went to collect and they were out so they offered.
Anyway not much chance to inspect as the bloke was hanging around waiting to go, but I took it indoors, had a good look and found loads of faults - you can't always unless you have a really good prod and get underneath it etc! Which is not something I find comfortable as I'm afraid of looking untrusting and rude.

So I rang them and said what I'd found and they did bring it back, and grudgingly refunded - Nicola I really believe you have the advantage here, both morally and feedbackwise.

nicolamumof3 · 24/08/2008 16:57

Thanks flightattendent. Just made me really sceptical now. And yes i know I should have inspected it, im so mad with myself it was just the situation and not feeling well and screaming teething baby in the car! Felt under pressure. 've learnt the hard way. Will let you know what the outcome is. If I have to relist i will be totally clear about the fading as it is inconsistent and quite major. And it will have a very big clean up. But for now its in the car boot complete with filth and stains.

chapstickchick · 24/08/2008 17:56

well done nicolamumof3 .......thank gawd for that -you would never have enjoyed using it.

nicolamumof3 · 24/08/2008 18:06

no I wouldn't before she called it i got it out to take pics so that they would be dated today and I couldn't be accused of the dirt/stains etc. anyway the staining was really bad really everywhere as were the fade marks must have spent alot of time in the sunshine weird. it was my wonderful hubby who spoke to her and has negotiated refund. And he has now told me to go buy a new one. which i will!
