Buying from the USA on eBay

I’m interested in buying some kitchenware from the US - eBay says there will be no import cost as it’s below the price threshold - is there anything else I need to consider re. customs? The price is lower than the limit on the HMRC website so I think it seems fine but any advice gratefully received.

Just ensure cost plus postage is below the threshold as it's a total of both not just the item cost.
I've bought from USA and other places abroad and it's been fine tbh

See if the vendor will use US mail service to send. That way it comes through Royal Mail here and last time I used them the handling fees were lower than the couriers. And several items came straight to my door with no duty or other fees.
