Ebay or Vinted now for clothes?

Is anyone still selling clothes on ebay? I used to and have excellent feedback but I've not sold anything for years. I did try Vinted but the T&Cs seem increasingly complicated, and got fed up with buyers trying to make silly offers and also trying to scam me saying items hadn't arrived.

Any advice?

I've a few good quality clothes from Jigsaw, Boden etc that I want to sell.

Ive sold on both. Prefer vinted for clothing, ebay for cosmetics.

Honestly, it wouldn't occur to me to buy or sell clothes on eBay. Vinted would be my go-to. You do get silly offers but you just ignore them. I've never had anyone claim something didn't arrive.

Thanks. I'm old. I used ebay years ago before Vinted was around.

I had one Vinted buyer who drew up a query because some clothes had not arrived. She was hot off the blocks - didn't wait long enough- and I went to the bother of producing the cert of posting. She didn't even inform me when they did arrive.

Has anything changed? In the old days of using ebay the money went straight into your account. On Vinted you have to wait for the buyer to confirm they have arrived.

I’ve used EBay to buy and sell for years. Ebay format has changed in the last year or so but I like it. I find Vinted a bit of a jumble sale.

I like vinted prices are usually cheaper and if I buy something that doesn't fit I can usually sell it on so it's not such a risk. Twice this week I've sold on two things that didn't fit for similar price, so I'm just paying postage/fees. Ebay you can at least send back if you buy from a business seller but the prices aren't as low.

I find buyers on vinted expect very low prices. It gets to the point where I'd rather donate to charity than have the hassle of packing, posting and waiting for fees.

I went off vinted as they didn't have royal mail as an option to post items without going through a lot of palaver. I live rural and the best option for me is a local post office, not Evri or other couriers.

You can exclusively post via Royal Mail on Vinted (I have a friend who does this). You can also post EVRI items at quite a lot of Post Offices.

I list items for sale on Vinted and Ebay. I tend to sell more on Vinted (as I think it is easier for people to bundle items together). If my items have not sold after a month, I re-list. People do sometimes make quite low offers - but if I don’t want it then there is no point hanging on to it.

i’m finding Ebay awful for selling at the moment especially with the promote your items nonsense which isn’t worthwhile

I barley have any views

my stuff is reasonable and I never used to have any issues

is anyone seeing my items

I sell on eBay as I think the protection is better, and I buy on both eBay and Vinted.

Nobody on Vinted has every said it hasn’t arrived in 60+ listings. The postage is tracked…

Very few people under 35 use eBay anymore.

I use both and find that different items sell in different sites. I think that eBay has an older customer base so you’re more likely to sell brands that appeal more to older people (e.g. Joules). Younger styles tend to sell quicker on Vinted.

Vinted

LookInsideMySpottyBag · Yesterday 13:18

Never use eBay, use Vinted almost everyday for either buying or selling

I should definitely sell my things on eBay then 😄.

I feel like Vinted is a bit of a jumble sale - people don’t even iron things, and things generally seem
to be quite cheap. I can’t quite be bothered selling very cheap things, and eBay has always worked well for me in the past.
