Didn’t collect item been returned to seller

I bought a dress from a seller and due to Christmas and confusing tracking on it I didn’t pick it up in time so I presume it’s been returned to the seller. I have messaged them but not heard anything back yet. What should I do?

I guess message the seller, apologise and ask if they would be willing to send again at your expense? Maybe offer a little extra for the inconvenience of them having to re-label it?

How long ago did you message them?
