Vinted - Evri lost my parcel

I'm waiting for a Vinted delivery via Evri. Its been at "on its way" since 23 June! Its updated to say "don't worry your order should arrive soon but incase it doesn't after 24 July you have 2 days to raise an issue about the lost parcel". Is there anything else I can do as I really don't want to have to wait!

Contact the Seller. Your contract is with them. They need to raise a claim for failure of delivery and refund you the item costs. If the delivery was insured, it would be their job to claim for that as well.

Interestingly Vinted says the parcel can take up to 25 business days to arrive so can't do much prior to that!

I’ve had this both as a seller and buyer. After a while (but not as long as 25 days) the buyer has to report it missing. Both the seller and buyer get refunded by Vinted. There’s nothing you can do before then as the seller won’t refund you as they only get paid when you receive your parcel and click the “everything is okay” button.

I had this two weeks ago also - got an automated email from Vinted saying I can claim at the end of July - one month after initial delivery estimate.

I’ve had this before with eBay. The problem is that until the courier confirms that the parcel is lost and cannot be delivered, then there’s a chance it will be found and delivered to you. Most couriers won’t even begin to look for the parcel until at least a couple of weeks have past, let alone confirm that it’s lost.

Yes, this is because delivery times aren’t guaranteed unless you use special next day delivery, so the courier can take forever to locate the missing parcel.

This. The fact the seller was stupid enough to use the reliably hopeless Evri/Hermes is on them.....

It's actually the buyer who chooses the delivery method on vinted

You don't need to do anything until 24th July. At that point you need to raise an issue about the lost parcel, you should be prompted to do this. Make sure you do or the sale will complete and you won't get a refund.
There is nothing the seller can so. They did their bit and sent the parcel, now they have no more information than you. Vinted provided the postage label and they have the contract with evri.

ThirdStorm · 03/07/2025 16:43

@MathiasBroucek I chose Evri, they are brilliant in my area.

I had this with Evri last month. The parcel actually did show up 3 weeks later! I actually forgot I’d bought anything so never messaged the seller. I presume Evri are really busy atm.
