I find it harder andharder to get a real bargain on e bay now.
What have you bought recently that was a real bargain?

I bought a really nice Oasis dress for £5 in immaculate condition which I wear 2x (or more if it isn't smelly!) a week now.

Got good cheap walking boots too.

Bit hit n miss though, often end up paying only marginally less than you would in shop.

SparklyGothKat · 20/04/2008 22:49

oh and my M&P cot for £34.

pinkyp · 20/04/2008 22:49

99p for a stair safety gate brand new in box. I gave her a pound though so ended up paying more.....lol

bandontherun · 20/04/2008 22:51

I think people tend to shoot the postal costs up as well now,so usually I only bid on things with a reasonable postage cost.

I bought a M&P moses basket with stand, matress and bedding for 99p! It had been hardly used. Was collection only, conveniently on my way home from work. I did offer to pay the seller a fairer price, but he declined saying "you win some and lose some" - I was really chuffed - even though the replacment matress cost much more than the basket itself!

A brand new pair of ladies CAT boots for (icluding p&p) £15 which was fab given my previous pair cost me around £65 iirc.

I bought these dolls for 99p. 6 dolls, plus carry bag and loads of accessories that weren't even mentioned in the listing. They are all in lovely condition. That particular type of doll is hard to track down new and it would have cost about £40 to buy them all new.

DD1 is getting them for her birthday.

I once bought a top for £3 in a sale, wore it twice, and sold it for £12!!!!! All accuratly listed etc etc.

I recently bought an outfit from Green Baby, 100% organic cotton, new, for £2.

But I agree it's a bit hit and miss, and you have to be willing to take a risk!

pedilia · 24/04/2008 00:05

I recently got BNIP moses basket and rocker for £10 each, they are both M&P.
Also got a brand new toddler bed and mattress for £20.

lizandlulu · 24/04/2008 18:34

i got a beautiful white traditional coat for 99p plus postage. think it was about £2. my dd wore it ot a wedding and she looked absoloutely stunning.

also got her a ted baker jacket for £2. the picture was bad, but i took a chance and it is really nice.

squilly · 24/04/2008 23:02

I got some gorgeous Ted Baker trainers for less than a tenner and I wore them all last summer. IN fact, they have holes in the soles I wore them so much.

I'm now looking for replacements, so if anyone knows of any nice canvas shoes on Shebay...let me know!

We bought a fire surround, with fire, for £50. It is Victorian/Edwardian looking and looks great in our frontroom

SparklyGothKat · 25/04/2008 19:43

someone just brought my ikea computer unit for 99p. They got a bargain!!! I just hope they pick it up now, as they live over 110 miles away

southeastastra · 25/04/2008 19:47

two ikea desks, one was bought for about a tenner and the seller delivered it free of charge! ebay at it's nicest.

squilly · 25/04/2008 20:13

Oh...forgot..a lovely Ergonomic office chair for a fiver.. We picked it up from Bradford (which is MILES away from where we live, so don't worry too much about your buyer, sgk. They'll turn up for a 99p unit!).

I would!!!!

Marne · 25/04/2008 20:15
