Help -- why am I suddenly required to accept paypal?

I'm trying to list some stuff on ebay tonight, and for some reason it keeps giving me an error message saying "You need to accept Paypal as a payment method for this listing".

I've never done paypal before, only cash, cheque or PO. Has something changed in ebay's policy, or have I inadvertently selected a wrong option somewhere along the line?

have you done a BIN or "require instant payment" (or whatever it's called)???

No, I've just checked. I must have selected some wrong option somewhere, but I can't see what. never had this problem before. Grrr.

some things need paypal now - can't quite remember what - electrical games type stuff.

I heard something about being a new ebay policy that all sellers have to offer paypal.

Just makes me less likely to sell on ebay again. I do offer paypal - but I resent having to pay fees for ebay and then extra ones for paypal.

Yes, I've dug around the small print, and it now says you have to accept paypal.

When I sell something I want real money, not fake paypal money. B*llockses. My listing still says I require payment by cheque or PO, so we'll see what happens.

You now have to offer paypal, but accepting other methods is ok
Biggest problem is with collections. You have to offer paypal even for collections, so if the buyer insists on paying with paypal you are stuffed

many are saying that no matter what the rules are they won't be accepting paypal for collections, and too right I say!
