Am I correct in thinking that eBay fees are now approx. 14% of selling price & postage?

It seems very high.

I'm considering Vinted but when I tried to sell on there before, things always seemed to sell easier/faster on eBay.

Also not keen on the buyer having to mark as delivered before you get any payment. So some of them not just delay/not bother/lie etc.?

Yes, we got the offer this weekend. If you didn't get the email look at the rolling header on the landing page, the activation link is sometimes in there.

@Thelnebriati thank you for your reply. I've checked the rolling header and it's not showing for me. Maybe I'm not in the group of 'selected sellers' this month.

IME if you’re selling regularly you’re less likely to be offered the 70% off promo.

I've got the 'maximum £1.00' offer. I no longer receive 70% off offer.

I haven't sold for ages (I was scammed by a buyer earlier this year and found it upsetting- though EBay refunded me after I countered, but it's made me nervous about awful people out there. I closed my account and used another I had).

I'm considering selling again this weekend, but it's not worth it without the offer. I might even try Vinted.

@ullye I'm really sorry to hear about you being scammed by a buyer, there are some awful people out there. I'm sure it would make me very nervous of using the site again.

I sell handmade crafts and have wondered if Etsy would be a better site for these items so need to look into the selling fees. As you say, the fees are high on eBay without the offer.
