What sells better on eBay?

Bundles of clothes or single/handful of items?

What size bundle? What do you like - mixture of garments or single-type bundles?

TIA

I did sell some vests (without poo stains), but didn't get much for them, IIRC

bobsmum · 24/09/2007 15:36

Not sure about vests. I've seen some bundles using the selling point of "Look no vests1" which doesn't really bode well!

And I couldn't sell some snowsuits either - including designer.

Might try on here actually. No3 will be a May baby, so hopefully no need for newborn snowsuits this time round!

LOL again LL - yep, although the ones with... I remember throwing some away once during a poo explosion that went up to DS1's collar

Even cute vests, barely worn, with pictures of little zebras on, from M&S? Whole set? I'll keep 'em then

I sold vest with Barbie print and 2 others with flowers.
Barbie being a high search word. That kind of thing works when you do bundles.

hunkermunker · 24/09/2007 16:09

Will bear in mind search terms - not sure I have much Barbie with two boys though Good tip, thank you!

I prefer single items in the relevant category. Part of my problem is I have too many clothes (of outgrown sizes) so cannot bear to buy stuff unless it is unique or special. Brand name stuff definitely works well in the singles dept -
I know, I bid on many of them.

IME

Good quality items in decent brand names I sell singly. Boden is particularly popular, but Next and Gap usually go well too.

Less high-end stuff I sell as a bundles, assuming (a) it's in good condition and (b) I have a decent selection of stuff that is coherent in style IYSWIM.

This is the stuff I've got on atm. Most of it has lots of watchers and I'm hopeful it will sell well, with the possible exception of the Monsoon trousers and the ZigZag party dress. Don't start something at 99p if you'd be really hacked off to sell it for that, though. I now tend to start most things at £1.99.

I don't think you can search for a particular seller's completed listings but I sold this bundle last week for £36, which I was very pleased with. I think you need to be very careful about describing any defects accurately -- as long as the marks are minor, it doesn't seem to put people off. It def. makes a difference if you sell stuff at the right season, ie. now for autumn/winter stuff.
