Ebay or Facebook selling pages or?

Having a clear out of items (summer sandals that I think should sell ok), clothes etc but also christmas items (Philosophy gift sets).

Is it worth me using Ebay/Facebook selling pages or something else?

Got a few home bits to sell too - the odd new unwanted gift (mirror etc) but not sure about selling on Ebay.

Did sell some Christmas bits on Ebay and clothes too but woefully poor return.

Views? thanks!

Our rule of thumb is;
If you can post it, use your free listings on Ebay, but make sure you charge enough to cover the Pay Pal and Ebay charges. You want to charge at least £1.20 plus postage or you dont make any profit.
Anything that is too heavy, bulky or fragile to post use Gumtree and Facebook.
